How to choose a replacement remote

  • Start with your board model. Find it in the table above; each remote lists the boards it fits.
  • Check your ESC. A remote works with the ESC it is made for. The RS Ultra, RS Pro Max and RS Neo remote only works with JiKong ESCs.
  • Not sure? Send us a photo of your board or its ESC and we will tell you which remote fits.
  • Charging: the OLED and F1 remotes charge by Micro USB.

For a DIY build, buy the ESC and remote as a matched set from the combos above, so the electric skateboard controller and the ESC are made to work together.

FAQ: electric skateboard remotes

Can I use any remote with my electric skateboard?

No. A remote works with the ESC it is made for. Check the table above for your board, or send us a photo of your board and we will confirm.

Will the RS Ultra, RS Pro Max and RS Neo remote work with a Hobbywing ESC?

No. That remote only works with JiKong ESCs, not with Hobbywing ESCs.

What do I need to replace a lost or broken remote?

Your board model. Pick the matching remote from the table above. If your ESC has also failed, choose an ESC and remote combo instead.

Do the remotes come with a battery?

The OLED and F1 remotes have a built-in 3.7V 400mAh battery and charge by Micro USB.

Check that a remote matches your ESC before you ride. After fitting a new remote or ESC, test the board at low speed in an open, safe area, and wear a helmet and protective gear.
